Believing in the existence of classical value worth protecting

in Japanese society, where minimalism is booming, two young

oreigners decided to create a luxury classic watch for a wide

range of customers.

Believing in the existence of classical value worth protecting in Japanese society, where minimalism is booming, two young foreigners decided to create a luxury classic watch for a wide range of customers.

To be Classic

We reinterpreted the moonphase watch at an affordable price. By trial and error, we selected the most suitable materials, created a design to enhance the moonphase elements, and worked out the golden ratio of the classic watch size to the dial.

Case and Dial

The use of anti-allergic 316L stainless steel, also used in biomedical applications, allows those with sensitive skin to wear the watch comfortably.
We focused on a simple single moonphase so that you can feel classical luxury instead of minimal.

Sapphire Glass

The anti-reflection-coated sapphire glass, which is often used in Swiss luxury watches, makes the dial more visible, lightweight, and scratch-resistant.

Strap with D buckle

The clasp on the strap can be changed without using tools. The D buckle, which is normally used only for luxury watches, prevents slippage, as well as damage to the leather.

Metal Ring

A metal holder, the first of its kind in the quartz watch industry, is used to provide weight and enhance the fit, while at the same time significantly reducing the impact of external shocks.

Box

A luxury watch should come in a suitable container. This is why KARL-LEIMON only uses specially selected boxes.

What is Moonphase?

The moon phase function was invented by the prodigious watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet in the 18th century to show changes in the phases of the moon.
In addition to constantly showing different phases of the moon, the romantic charm of the feature, considered a symbol of romance and artistry, has inspired the possessive instinct of many people. As the function requires sophisticated technology, it has been used only for high-end watches and is considered an exclusive privilege of the upper class.
