Believing in the existence of classical value worth protecting in Japanese society, where minimalism is booming, two young foreigners decided to create a luxury classic watch for a wide range of customers.
DIAL
Careful attention has been paid to the texture of the dial, the balance between hands and indexes, and the finishing of the parts, all of which must not be compromised because of the simplicity of the design.
The multi-faceted applied indexes and suitably thick dauphine hands are carefully polished, and the sandy-grained dial background adds three-dimensional accents and a sense of luxury.
CASE
With a case diameter of 38 mm and a thickness of 9.9 mm, the size of the watch reflects Karl-Leimon's desire for a classic, authentic dress watch.
The bezel and case are molded and assembled separately . Although costly and time-consuming, the texture has been enhanced by separate polishing. The hairline finish on the middle case and the polished finish on the bezel and caseback combine to create the ultimate in luxury.
The material used is "316L " stainless steel. Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and is widely used in medical instruments and familiar kitchen utensils, and can be easily worn by people with sensitive skin.
MOVEMENT
The Japanese high-beat movement cal.9015, a hallmark of high-performance watches, is incorporated into the design. The high beat, meaning 28,800 oscillations per hour (8 oscillations per second), reduces the amplitude of the second hand and dramatically increases the accuracy of the watch.
MIYOTA's mechanical movement "cal.9015" was planned as a replacement for the Swiss-made "ETA2824", which has gained worldwide popularity as a thin, high-performance, 8-oscillation movement. The "CLASSIC38" takes full advantage of its thinness, not only staying within the 10 mm thickness that is standard for dress watches, but actually achieving a thickness in the 8 mm range. The case back is boldly finished with a solid construction for wearability and extreme thinness.
